Craig R. Schoenfeld leverages his experience as a lobbyist, political strategist, press spokesperson, and campaign operations manager on behalf of his clients. He is a highly sought-after lobbyist and multi-state grassroots organizer with deep relationships and experience with elected officials, business organizations, and activists across the Midwest.

 

Prior to founding CR3 Connect in 2014, Craig worked as the chief operating officer of DomiKnow, Inc. In this role, he helped drive the digital marketing company from a start-up venture to a publicly traded corporation. Craig also partnered with former United States Attorney and United States Senate candidate Matt Whitaker at Whitaker Strategy Group in Des Moines, Iowa. The consulting group specialized in government affairs, issue management, elections, public relations, and media strategy.

 

For more than 20 years, Craig has been an active leader in the Iowa political scene, having worked and consulted for a variety of state and federal candidates. He served on former President George W. Bush’s 2000 Iowa caucus and general election teams, where he managed the president’s general election campaign in the state. He was executive director of former New York Governor George Pataki’s 2008 exploratory PAC in Iowa, and also directed state presidential operations for former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

 

Craig additionally served on the Iowa House of Representatives Republican caucus staff for six years. He serves today as the executive director for Iowa Growth Project, a nonpartisan, nonprofit advocacy organization working to educate the state’s electorate on issues before the Iowa Legislature that challenge Iowa’s economy and tax infrastructure, and inhibit job growth and expansion in the state.

 

For 10 years, Craig was part of a team leading multi-client legislative and lobbying efforts on behalf of the law firm of Wasker, Dorr, Wimmer & Marcouiller P.C. In this role, he was responsible for directing and coordinating government affairs, public relations and political strategies for a variety of clients in the healthcare, energy, gaming, residential development, and retail sectors.

 

Craig has been a guest lecturer at both Grinnell University and Drake University Law School. He served on the board of directors as legal counsel of the Iowa Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) and is a member of several other civic organizations.

 

A native of Beaver Dam, Wis., Craig earned a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. He received a law degree and a master’s degree in mass communication from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.

Logan Shine

Logan has a keen understanding of Iowa politics combined with government relations experience which he leverages to provide his clients with invaluable insight into the process.

 

He served as Legislative Liaison and Policy Advisor in Governor Reynolds’ office during her first term. With unparalleled access to the legislature, he led the Governor’s efforts to work across party lines and secured bipartisan support for significant tax reform - ending the inheritance tax and speeding up income tax cuts, workforce initiatives, public charter school reform, and $100 million appropriation for rural broadband expansion.

 

Logan joined a national company, leading the midwest regions government affairs team. In this leadership role, Logan was instrumental in positioning the company to successfully compete and receive multi-million dollar awards. He then transitioned into multi-client practice specializing in government affairs. He has helped his clients secure major policy goals during the legislative session and has successfully helped clients navigate the procurement process for state contracts.

 

Logan is an Iowa Bar licensed attorney having earned a law degree from Drake University where he received a specialized certificate in Legislative Process and Policy Development.

Ryan Keller
Director - Public Affairs

Ryan Keller has had a unique career path that makes him effective in his role serving Public Affairs clients for CR3Connect.

 

Ryan earned a master’s degree from Drake University in Public Policy and Public Administration and has more than 15 years of experience in the political field in campaign strategy and building coalitions.  Ryan has worked on presidential, gubernatorial, congressional, state, and local campaigns throughout the Midwest and State of Nevada.  He organized presidential precinct caucuses for the largest county in Iowa and as well as managed numerous political fundraisers.  Complimenting his political experience are previous roles in hospitality, banking, and sales that provide a well rounded experience to his development of issue strategy, building relationships, and meeting client objectives.

Wil Hedderich
Associate - Public Affairs

Wil Hedderich is a 2020 graduate of St. Olaf College with a degree in Political Science with a focus on U.S. Public Policy. Wil brings a variety of experiences to his role at CR3Connect, having interned with the Iowa Corn Growers and the Minnesota State Senate, as well as U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (IA). Wil has also worked for John Deere Financial and was an independent contractor with the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association. Wil’s focus is on engagement with local and county governments, building coalitions, and working stakeholder groups to develop positive solutions to meet client needs.
